Hello all,
I’m new to the forums and this is my first post, I’ve recebtly found a few ‘spots’ on my genitals and, naturally, my mind went into overdrive and panicked about what it might be. As bad as it is to use google for a diagnosis my search lead me here and I’m hoping that these ‘spots’ are indeed fordyce spots.
I’ve browsed various threads in here to see if I could see anything similar to my situation, unfortunately I didn’t, so hopefully someone out there can help.
I have an appointment with my GP on Monday and one with a sexual health clinic on the 23rd (that was the next available appointment). But the stress of not knowing what this is until Monday and then likely longer following a test, is not fun at all!
I’ve convinced myself it’s HPV but a second opinion would be great, thanks

So I've struggles with these for a very long time, please help with your opinion
So I'm 18 and am still a virgin...I've had these spots for some time now, talking a couple of years probably, and they are still making me super anxious and insecure about myself...so are these fordyce or should I seek medical help?

Just want to confirm if these are Fordyce Spots! I feel like i've noticed them for a while. I heard they can get worse with stress and I've been dealing with a lot of stress lately.

Successful Fordyce CURE!!
Hi everyone,
I am Jimmy, a 20 year old out of New York.
I created this account and am posting here because I believe I have found a permanent cure to fordyce spots.
Before starting let me say that I am not liable for any injuries or anything that you do or happens to you because of reading this, it is for informative purposes only..
That being said I would like to first say what I have tried. I used "Retinol Oil 5%" which did reduce the prominence of the spots but they would reappear about 2 days after I stopped using it. Similarly I tried "Fordyce Gel" which performed better but smelled weird and again would not have any lasting affect.
Finally I was done with all of this OTC bullshit that's being put out by people who are either trying to scam you or do not actually have a bad case of fordyce spots (My fordyce spots were as bad as the pictures you see when googling "fordyce spots").
I found a thread that said there was a chance that you could treat PPP with a soldering iron and so I tried it on both my PPP AND fordyce spots(which you should never do). It worked pretty well on the PPP but they reappeared soon after. The fordyce spots on the other hand were extremely painful and would blister for the following month and a half to two months. Doing this can kill a lot of nerve cells on your penis and seriously decrease your erection while simultaneously not helping at all.
Finally I saw a thread where people who used isotretinoin(Accutane) stated that said their fordyce spots were much better off during the treatment but would come back just as bad or worse(doubt it) after treatment. I found an article that stated that high doses of isotretinoin cured fordyce spots on the lips for several individuals.

I decided to try it myself. I ordered the highest dose (40mg) and took two every day from the get go. I used the accutane for a total of about four and a half months because I realized that if the normal time/low dose that people with acne got on accutane wasn't enough I would have to use more. I had to stop because I was getting serious side affects on my arms and it was getting really noticeable.
The entire cycle costed me over $1000. You can buy the accutane from online pharmacies(WHICH LET ME POINT OUT IS ILLEGAL AND COULD BE SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT YOU ORDERED - BE CAREFUL)
I was ready for the fordyce spots to start reappearing, and they did. The difference was that they were MUCH MUCH smaller and you could no longer even feel them. I also did not have any PPP and had lost all of my acne that had troubled me a lot throughout highschool. It has now been almost half a year and the results have stayed.
I want to say that it has some normal side affects including making you very tired/moody some days and eczema where I could barely do anything. I am making this post because I know there are people out there like me who don't care what it takes to get rid of their fordyce spots.
Accutane also affects the liver so be careful what you drink. I also think its a bad idea to think about something like this before you are around 18/fully grown.
I haven't noticed any permanent side effects other than being more relaxed because of my higher confidence. I really hope this gives hope to those out there struggling. Do not do this if your case of fordyce spots is negligible-moderate.

CO2 laser threatment
Hello guys.
I sadly can only find a few cases about threating fordyce spots on the penile shaft with CO2 lasers. Anybody in here who has done the procedure?
Im somewhat prone to scarring and Im afraid it'll make things worse. Im seeing a dermatologist in a months time to possibly get them removed.
I dont have a lot, but I have like 2-3 large ones which bothers me.
It will cost around 420$ here in Denmark for a laser threatment.
What are yout thoughts?

This worked for me.
Well I accidentally discovered this way. I was in two mind for sharing in this group. Now i have decided to share my experience in this group. There is combination of two treatments. Firstly i had used a homeopathic cream aqui plus cream for acne. The link for it is as follows https://hapdco.com/product/aqui-plus-cream/.
I used this cream for two months on my genitals. Applied this cream every day.
Second part, I did patch test on my penis with TCA 35 percent peel. I did it my self. Applied sufficient amount of acid on 7 - 8 spots.
Now there is difference of impact of peel on fordyce spot before and after application of cream. Earlier fordyce spot will disappear and then comback again after TCA application within few days. I don't know but there is some impact on spot due to this cream. Lesser peels with concentration of 10 - 15 percent had no impact on spots. But application of TCA peel with 35 percent conc had impact. Some spots completely disappeared, in case of few spots there had marked change in size, the spot became very less noticeable.It has been past one month and spots have not come back.
Disclaimer : I was desperate, I applied TCA peel on my penis. Even after using numbing spray, it pains like hell for 5 minutes. Some people says its risky, despite that i went ahead with it on my penis. So its purely upto you for going ahead with this. I applied peel on my own and ensured that peel is deep.
The catch here is homeopathic cream. I used it for 2 months and it brought some changes in spots, which made TCA peel effective.
I am still carrying out this treatment and getting some substantial results.

The purpose of fordyce spots
There is no scientific consensus for the purpose or reason of ectopic sebacous glands (fordyce spots), but it is mainly attributed to fetal development and hormones in puberty.
I have an idea I'd like to hear your opinion/experience about.
First, as to my condition, I have a huge amount of spots on my upper lip (1000+) and a smaller and more recently growing amount on my lower lip.
Now to the point: I have memories from a very young age when I would peel my lips of dry skin. The interesting thing is that since my upper lip has become full of fordyce spots, it absolutely never gets dry!
My lower lip on the other hand, get very dry, I have to apply vaseline to it several times a day or the skin dies and I have to peel it.
It is known that one of the roles of sebaceous glands is to lubricate the skin, so my idea was that perhaps due to overly dry skin, the body somehow compensates by overly developing these ectopic glands.
In addition, the biggest surge in my occurence of spots happend around the time when I was treated in Accutane (isotretinoin) for face acne, which as a side effect made my lips very dry.
What is your opinion?

Best lipbalm for fordyce spots?
Hello,
I would need some help finding the best possible lip balm against these fuckers![Angry]( "Angry")
I am fully aware of everything that has to do with fordyce spots and I am fighting to get rid of these shits from my upper lip. I have tried a little bit of everything lately, I need something that moisturize the lip
so it does not get dry and need something with good ingredients.
One ingredient that I will never ever use again is "Coconut oil" read it should help but from my personally experience it have only made the spots two times worse and increasing. Recommenced to stay away from that crappy oil, may work for some people but for me it just blocks the pores and makes it even worse.

Have anyone something that actually works for home remedy's? I have tried apple vinegar without success and a bit of garlic. I am thinking of about

i have so many fordyce spots on my shaft and balls. i don’t really care about the ones on my balls but i’m so ashamed of my shaft. it’s covered in these things, i asked the doctor and he just told me you have to live with them, like wtf bruh! i’m 16 and just idk i feel like a misfit and if a girl found out that i had bumps all over my dick she’d freak out. has anyone had experience with having a lot of these spots and actually having a healthy sex life, i think about this s**t everyday i can’t help it, when i touch my dick it just feels rough and makes me think about it too much. i don’t even know what to do anymore.

Follicle or Fordyce or FML?
Hi all, this forum has helped me a lot with some anxiety I had. But, I stull need some help on a few bumps - is it a pimple, herpes, dermatitis, hair follicle?
I do have a lot of hair follicles/Fordyce around the shaft (pic 1), but these are new on my foreskin and I'm worried they aren't the same type of bump. I cannot pop them at all, and they are painless (pic 2)

Laser hair removal smaller sebaceous glands

Easy temporary fix for the lips
I have found an easy temporary fix for the lips. Just rub and scratch it. I have done that on my lower lip several times now. Rubbing my fingers against it, squeezing a few of them and also using my nails until the glads are very visible. 2 days or so after having done it I almost can't see them in the mirror even at a very close distance. Nobody would notice them. Now I have a nice beautiful lower lip. I think it will last for like a week or two.
